Examples of  Persona Recordings playable online are offered as music history, music appreciation, education and demonstrations of Persona Studio's arranging, recording and mastering techniques. All the recordings are completed in house by Stephen Gislason. The music selections and their history are described in the book, Sound of Music.

The Beatles

In Liverpool, 1957, John Lennon formed a band, the Quarrymen, and soon recruited guitarist Paul McCartney. George Harrison joined the Quarrymen in March 1958. They settled on the Beatles name in 1960 and the rest is history. During the ten years before the breakup in 1970, they became the world’s most popular and most copied pop/rock band in the history of music.

John stated that Elvis Presley was his main inspiration; but Presley later became an enemy who disapproved of Lennon’s anti-war activism and asked US President Richard Nixon to ban the group from entering the United States. Initial adulation and success turned into problems within the group and hostility toward the Beatles that grew, for example, in the reactionary US. 

Paul McCartney, born June 1942, kept the Beatles music alive. I was  delighted to see a movie  of his 2003 concert in Moscow, Russia. An audience of 100,000, including Vladimir Putin, enjoyed the concert.  The Russian audience was as enthusiastic, if not as ecstatic as US audiences during his US tour in 2005. The  US tour film is available on DVD as the The Space Within US, 2005. Paul's' ability to unite an audience in a celebration of life, has been described as "divine intervention."  The concert in Russia is available on DVD - Paul McCartney In Red Square.

Persona Music Recordings  Our Music Catalogue includes recorded performances by the P2500 Band, Em4U, and the Persona Classical Consort. Music downloads are delivered from our companion website: Persona Digital Online. Music Downloads are albums, packaged as MP3 files in a zip folder. Download  the zip folder and save.  In Windows, click on the folder and choose the extract all option to unzip the files to your hard drive. A new folder containing the MP3 files will be created. The MP3 files will play on all computers, laptops, notebooks, smart phones, iPods,. iPads, CD and DVD players and all portable music players. Some albums contain liner notes or minibooks as PDF files that introduce the music. Some music recordings and Free Music Downloads are offered to illustrate music history, advance music  education and appreciation. The recordings presented online demonstrate Persona Studio's arranging, recording and mastering techniques. All the recordings are completed in house by Stephen Gislason.
