ErasureErasure is an English synthpop two man band, consisting of keyboardist Vince Clarke and singer Andy Bell. They began in 1985 with a debut single "Who Needs Love (Like That)" From 1986 to 1997, Erasure had twenty-four consecutive hits in the UK. By 2007, 34 of their 40 singles made the Top 40; 17 reached the Top 10. Erasure’s worldwide album sales is over 25 million. Vince Clarke began writing melodic pop songs with Depeche Mode and Yazoo. Song-writer and singer, Andy Bell, and Clarke's electronic synth styling created a diversity of musical ideas. When I first heard Erasure recordings in 2003 (I was out of touch with pop music for many years), I was delighted. They made happy music, even with sad or angry lyrics. Their rhythms and melodies were appealing. My arrangements are usually simpler than the originals. I use different instruments and often edit or remove drumming. Erasure likes fast repetitive motifs often on several tracks, sometimes too much for me. I also want to create space in the final mix. I felt that were were kindred spirits and shared the magic of studio arrangements using synthesizers exclusively. P2500 Band Arrangements of Erasure SongsMan in the Moon
